STRUCTURED  CABLE  SYSTEMS

The Voice of America, which first went on the air in 1942, is a multimedia international broadcasting service funded by the U.S. government through the Broadcasting Board of Governors. VOA broadcasts more than 1,000 hours of news, information, educational, and cultural programming every week to an estimated worldwide audience of more than 100 million people. VOA programs are produced and broadcast in 44 languages through radio, satellite television, and the Internet.
                                                                                                          
CTX solutions manages structured cabling installations, from 2007 - the Present, for the master  television (MATV) system throughout the ~300,000 square foot Cohen building.


+ C  Street  Lobby project (2007) – the installation of VGA and
   CATV cabling for flat screen TVs in 
Lobby: CAT-6  (category
   -6)  multiple  pair,  data  wires  installed for 
media  server  to
   connect to servers in  the  Main  Frame  Computer Room.

                               

+ Independence  Avenue  Lobby  project  (2008) – the installation of VGA and CATV cabling for
   
flat  screen TV in Lobby  to  connect  with  servers  in  Main  Frame 
Computer Room.

+ Bandwidth Extension project  (2009) - the installation of MATV Signal Amplifier and Mini- Bridger
   device  upgrade  for  the  receiption of more cable TV channels.

+ MATV Distribution project (2011) - expansion of the MATV system with Signal Amplifiers and 
   Cable Taps with hard line cable to create a new Distribution Hub on the 3rd floor. 

+ Switzer Building Hard Line Extension project (2012) - extending the MATV service from the Cohen
   Building to the Switzer Building with hard line cable, Signal Amplifiers, Distribution Taps, and 12
   CATV drops on the 4th floor.

IT  Improvements  Project

CONSTRUCTION   MANAGEMENT

provided  Construction Management  at  Risk Services  at the contract value of
$152,000,  from   November  2007 -  March 2008,  for  The  Washington  Business  Group
a  project  management  company  that  specializes  in  Federal  construction  projects.   CTX 
furnished the mechanical and architectural systems for the IT Improvements Project at Building
22, to provide air conditioning to the Main Frame Server Room.  The Scope Of Work includes:
4  Air  Handler  Units,  Ductwork,  Controls,   Piping,   Access  Hatches,   Drywall  Bulkheads,
Finishing,  Paint,  and  Fire  Stop  for  Wall Penetrations.  Change  Order  work  included  the
installation  of  an  existing  Air  Handler  Unit  in  a  separate  LAN  Room.

CONSTRUCTION   PROGRAM   MANAGEMENT

CTX solutions  provided  Program Management services  in  2007,  for  GSN  Construction,
a    developer   management   company    that    performs   renovation   work   for  commercial,
governmental, and educational projects.  CTX  provided standardized management tools for 3
GSA  projects  in  the  DC  metropolitan  area.   The  program  standards  were:  construction
duration  schedules,  unit price estimating,   project  correspondence  forms,   scope of work
specifications, and crew types.   Additional services ranged  from  Construction  Engineering
& Quality Control,  to client  relations,  subcontract  negotiations, and contract  administration.

The work was performed in various GSA Buildings:

+ U.S. Federal Courthouse –  Carpet
   Replacement for 20 offices;

+ Alexandria, VA Courthouse – Renovation 
   of Tax Court Offices; and,

+ Alexandria, VA Courthouse – Renovation
   of Judge’s Chambers & Kitchenette.
